Scheduling with Labour constraints

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well.

Just wondering if and how you are managing to run the concurrent scheduler while factoring in labour constraints?

We have recently added the operator as a concurrent resource (advanced tab on the resource) and it was going well until we tried to add varied shift patterns.

Curious to know if anyone has been down this road.

Are you adding your operator to Shop Resource Maintenance, if you are you can apply the shift in the other tab.

Hi Ridz,

We review all eng master two years ago and we are not planning in finite mode with the Global Scheduler. It’s working very well when we are not late on the schedule. First, we define resources with capacity and shift. After, we put the primary resource and the secondary resource (Advanced tab) in the operation card.

The capacity is the number of employees, must of the time, it’s week number of employee. Because, for some resource, we have least employee the weekend, we adjust the weekly calendar (cutting the number of hours). Because we have good scanning for one year, we adjust the standard hours with the scan time (-20%) and we cut the hours for not efficiency. So, if the shift starts at 7H, it’s 8h each, we put 6-6-6h for a total.
