IPA webrun multipart/form-data

Has anyone been able to use a webrun node and set it to be a multipart/form-data content type? I realize it is not in the dropdown menu of the node - I thought there was a way to over-ride or add the content type behidn the scenes.

If not, any ideas on how to accomplish this? I am using the flow to create the XML payload (file) and need to send to a vendor's endpoint, but the Webrun is limited in what it can do in some cases.

Hi Chris, I spent many hours trying to get it to work and was unsuccessful. In addition, Infor confirmed the node is not capable of performing multipart/form data calls. As a work around I wrote a perl script that IPA called to perform that portion.

Have you explored whether or not ION could do the webrun piece that IPA can't? I haven't been overly anxious to jump into the ION arena but if it could handle this functionality it might be something to consider rather than writing an unsupported script. Everything else could remain in IPA and using the ION node trigger and ION flow to do the transmission to the vendor endpoint. Just a thought.

Same boat....I'd like to start learning ION though as we have not touched it. I am not even sure we have it I have seen other references to ION for such a call and I think it would do it... just need to see if we own it and have it installed/configured. I've only seen it at tech ed, etc...

Chad, I would be interested in seeing how you got perl script to get this done in IPA. I am trying to self learn perl and would love to see how you incorporated it into an IPA. Would you be willing to share a sample? THANKS!

I was able to successfully post using Postman....Postman has a cool feature where it will produce code snippets for the transaction. I am wondering if any of these could be pasted into an assign node/javascipt? Which of these do you suppose would work/be compatible with IPA?

That'd be cool but I don't think the Fetch API is implemented in Rhino JS.

Doh! Good catch. Thanks Andy. Do you think any of those other scripts would work? I guess I just have to have perl or PS or something else on the server do the work and IPA just trigger that...as Chad described.

Interestingly you can import Java network and I/O packages in the RhinoJS shell, but I'm not sure if that can also be done in IPA flow assign JS node...
