FEIN- Where does it pull to populate?

Which form does the FEIN pull from to populate Part 1 of the 1095c? BN 00.7/HR 00.1/ or HR01.1?

Additionally, If I update one or all three forms with the FEIN, do I need to RERUN the BN 990 to RERUN the BN 297? (I have run the BN 297 once already and FEIN was the wrong one.)

I believe it is from the PR06 Federal tax authority.

The BN297 looks for a BN00.7 record first, if it is not there, then it will use PR06. The BN990 doesn't need to be rerun since the FEIN is determined at the time of running BN297.

Amy,
I did not set up my aggregated groups before running the BN990, and now when I am setting up the ALE member screen (BN00.7), it's warning me that IRS records exist. Can I set up my ALE/Aggregate information and then rerun the 990?

Yes, the BN990 will recreate the data based on the new setup. You wouldn't want to do this if you have already created the 1095 forms using BN297 and distributed them.

Thank you - no I haven't run the BN297 yet. We just completed our v10 upgrade on Saturday and I've been doing both projects simultaneously so we're a little behind in our patch installs.

Sorry, one more question. Do I need to rerun the BN996 as well?
