Missing features in d/EPM 12

Hello!

I'm just getting started using d/EPM 12 (12.0.7.10) and during my first steps I ecountered some missing features:

- in Application Studio the option to enable the version history is not available.

- in web I miss the buttons for an export in Excel or PDF file (beside the function in the self service area).

Will any of these features be available again in a future version? If so, which version might it probably be?

Additionally I was told that there will be a function for a cell-based zero suppression in Application Studio and the target version shall be 12.0.09. Is that still valid? When will the 12.0.9 release be available? Thanks for your response.

Daniela, thanks for checking new version! I hope you also loving dozens of new features, one of each will be hide/show rows/columns depending on the spreadsheet values (including ones in hyperblocks) Our plan is still deliver it with 12.0.9 and unless something unexpected happens in the next few days, it is in!

Regarding export to PDF/XLS, this is really same as it was in v.11 Dashboards interface is based on widgets approach, so in order to have PDF/XLS export individual widgets (even if there is just one report) should have these actions on the report either as part of report design or (like it it in Self-Service) in the style sheet. This is extremely simple addition and it can be quite easily added to your solution if you are currently using style sheets.

Regarding version history - this is feature that has not got transferred to v.12. We are planning to have it, but currently not clear when - working on it!

Hello Nick!

Thanks for your fast response. It's great to read that 12.0.9 is still the target version. To hide/show rows/columns depending on the spreadsheet values is a very important feature for us in order to get rid of the AppStudio scripting we still use in V11. How can I stay posted on this issue? Can I subscribe somewhere so that I will be informed automatically when 12.0.9 is available?

Regarding the export issue, I have to admit that we haven't worked with dashboards yet. So this is a totally new approach for us. At the moment we have approximately 400 individual reports and our main goal is to get all these existing reports up and running in V12. Dashboard functionality will be our step no 2. However, our reports are based on style sheets (mainly for the design of the report header including a company logo). So I will have a look into your suggestion to place an action for an Excel/PDF Export there. Thanks for this hint!

As I was mentioning - our plan is still to bring Hide/Show rows/columns to June release - we even published the training of how it can be used
