Create reports from SQL server tables

I have created a report in App Studio using RDBMS (SQL Server) connection. This report is working fine in App Studio viewer where I can see data and modify selections. But when I open this report in Browser it is displaying empty report. it is a simple report to display records from table (around 10 rows).

What could be the reason for this is problem and how to fix it?

Hi,

Is the data on the same server as OLAP? As you may find the issue is due to something called the 'double-hop' and requires you to delegate permissions.

When you are viewing the data on your machine in Application studio, you are going directly to the data from your machine. When you are viewing the data in a browser you are making a connection from your machine, to the OLAP / Web server, and it is then making the connection to the SQL data, hence the 'double hop', and requires that you enable the passing of the users credentials using Kerberos delegation.

An alternative would be to set the username / password in the connection, it depends if you want to use the users credentials to limit the data returned in SQL.

Your network admin should be able to help with configuring the Kerberos authentication on the servers.

Can you please explain on the details to set username/password in connection. I will have to use this option for now. Network admin confirmed it will take time to enable Kerberos setup on server.
