Format data point in chart

Hello!

I've got a column chart with 26 calendar weeks as my categories on the x-axis (the current calendar week and last 25 ones) and the according sales value on the y-axis. I now want to change the color of the last calendar week to make it more obvious that it is the current week and values therefor can still change.

Normally I would simply select the data point and change the color. My problem is, that I can only select those data points, that are visible in the sample data. The sample data is limited to 20 categories.

Is there any way to change the colour of the 26th data point? I use version 11.0, so technically scripting is an option, but since we want to update to V12, I want to avoid scripting if possible.

Hello Daniela,

I am not sure, if it is the best solution, but it is the first thing, that came to my mind:

Even if you could select the last data point, I am not sure, if it would work when weeks passed by. Therefore, I would split it in two data series:

1: data from past weeks

2: data from current week

Then you can show the data series with different colors. In the weeks you have no values for the data series, just set the value to 0.
