Requisitions not clearing AC298 Commitments when the RQ and PO are closed

Hello folks,

We have an issue with either Requisitions or the Activity- when a service Requisition is submitted using one Activity (only seeing it on this one Activity, the Requisition will still commit the funding even when the PO is released. Basically, the system code on the AC298 is RQ- but the RQ status is closed. Its the oddest thing but is also causing the Activity to be overspent. Thoughts on what could cause this? The system code on the report tells us that its the RQ causing it (other than PO). FYI- the PO hasn't been received, so it hasn't even made it to AP. Help!

When you say you're only seeing it on this one activity does this mean it's reoccurring often with this activity or it's the only activity you're currently seeing this issue? Are the items on the PO lines different from the items on the req?  I've found if a buyer changes the item in PO23 that line will lose the connection back to the req and if there's an activity attached to the line it prevents the RQ commitment from being relieved when the line is added to a PO, creating an orphaned RQ commitment on that activity. To fix this you'll need to use a quickpaint screen to modify the ACCOMMIT and ACCOMMITX tables to remove the orphaned RQ commitment and make sure the committed totals are correct.  But you should open a case with Infor for guidance.
