Multiple Product Line Security
unknown
For our testing environments, we have typically stood up a whole new environment and maintained a 1-1 product line to environment strategy. I am building a second product line within our test environment. What do I need to do from a security perspective to give users access to that?

Lawson Security?
If so - Profile Management, Profile Assignment, Add your new Data Source to your security profile container.
Then you'll probably want to add a separate security class for the new Data source - Securable Types, Data Sources, pick your new one, Grant All Access.
Then assign the new Data Source to Security Roles as appropriate.

We have all our test productlines (4 of them) under one environment. In Lawson Security, we included all 4 productline names in the Application Profile entry and then all productlines share the same security. One thing to note with this method is that when we create a new program it does have to be in the first (primary) productline listed in order to set security for it.

We have the same setup as Gary mentioned. We also created a role for each productline where we assign the productline to the security class attached to the role. That way we can control which users can test in which productline.
