Hi all,
I'm curious to know how everyone else handles these scenarios. We have several customers who have a large seasonal payroll and this commonly presents two issues:-
1. The same email address cannot be used twice. So an employee is made a leaver at the end of the season but returns again the following year and wants to use the same email address. The customer works around this by removing the email address after sending their payslip but before updating the payroll. This means they have no visibility of the email address to which payslips/P60s were sent previously. I think someone may have logged an enhancement to have this changed if I recall correctly?
2. Email address changes during employment. My understanding is that if the email address changes during employment then the new email address is only used going forwards. This means that if any old payslips are resent from Opera they are emailed to the old email address and not the new one. This is a very annoying problem as it means the customer wants access to the emailed payslips in their Outlook Sent Items so they can forward the email from there (with security on the attachment). One customer in particular operates 2 weekly and 2 monthly payrolls and they email the payslips from them all, because Scheduler can only be configured with one account (they use Office 365) presumably that means the Outlook Sent Items would show both the weekly and monthly emailed payslips?
Has anyone come across the same issues or have any good workarounds for these problems?
Thanks,
Alex
