Using Report Builder

I want to be able to modify or append information (like Terms & Conditions on pg. 2 of our purchase orders) on a custom QRP form using Report Builder. Where do I go to find a user manual for Report Builder? I've located the file I want to edit, copied it and saved it under a new name in a different folder, but I can't seem to be able to edit the text. I keep getting error messages that refer to formula inputs. Any suggestions?

The help section inside the report builder is pretty good. I haven't found anything better documentation wise.

You just have to click the help button top right hand side of report builder...

I still have a Centura Report Builder paperback manual from 1998 that is still my 'bible' for Report Builder... guess that shows either how 'mature' the product is or how unevolved it is. OpenText does not appear to be too free with their literature on Report Builder.... or I am just too cheap to purchase support for a product that is bundled in with Visual. There are also Gupta and Unify PDFs from 2005 available on the Internet. Not sure if it's possible to share them here on the Community?

I think it is because you are trying to insert a Field rather than a textbox?

Try to copy the textbox that is there with the information you are trying to edit.
Paste it (it will paste it on top of its previous position, so drag it out) you should then be able to add plain text in there.

Thanks, Chris. I took a look at that help section but at first glance the info there didn't seem to address the issue I was having. I persevered and finally discovered why I wasn't able to edit the text. I was eliminating the ' ' bookends in the formula editor every time I tried to cut & paste the new information on each line. D'oh! Figured it out by trial and error. Still a noob at this.

I've used this to help with syntax. Hunt and Peck...lol
