IDM PO Template Repeating Field

I'm editing the PO template for IDM. When adding a field from the lines, how do I do this properly so it it pulls the field for the correct line? When I use the Data Field in the IDM Content Source section, if I click on the field in the first line, that will be the data used on all lines. What is the proper way to select a field such as item number so that it is the correct number for each line?

Thank you for the reply. I've tried this and I still am not having any luck. Part of it may be that the field I'm attempting to add is in a section that is linked to the line section. I'll explain:

I'm trying to add the DeliverTo field from the Source section of PO Lines. So, in the tree view, the hierarchy is PurchaseOrder -> Lines -> Line -> LineSource -> Source. So, the DeliverTo is in one level BELOW where the rest of the line data is.

If the rest of the section is under PurchaseOrder -> Lines and the XPath for the rest of those fields are the field name, you can try the XPath of LineSource/Source/DeliverTo for your new field when you add it to the existing section and see if that works.

Right click on the data field from the content source and choose to insert as plain text. Then check the Value XPath of the field you added to the document and make sure the structure matches other repeating fields in the same section. XPath will usually just be the field name if it's in a repeating section (you will want to delete the "/M3OutDocument/DataArea/Document/DocumentTotal/" sections before the field name.

However, the XPath may need to include some of those prefixes if the field you are adding to the document is located in a different section than the rest of the fields in the section you are dropping it in.

Hi Adam. I have been playing around with this all weekend and I finally got it with the help of your comment. I added the new field (Deliver To) which is under the LineSource/Source/ section which itself is nested under the Line section.

Once I added the field, I just changed the XPath of the "DeliverTo" field to be LineSource/Source/DeliverTo and that worked.
