Hi, we are new to Infor and have encountered an issue with sick pay. California requires that non-exempt employees be paid on a weighted average pay rate. The law allows the weighted average to be either the previous 90 days or the current work week. Infor only supports the 90 day option. Our non-exempt employees get step increases based on the number of months of employment so the 90 option almost always ends up paying them less for their sick leave than their regular rate of pay. This is creating employee relations issues and is contrary to company policies.
Have any other California clients encountered this issue? If so, how did you implement sick pay? We are proposing that Infor offer the current work week as an option but have been told that we need at least 10 votes in order to receive any consideration. So this is my plea for votes for ER63313.
