BN105 didn't update benefit premiums on one of our plans...
unknown
Hi all,
We are still on V9 and have just discovered that the 2016 benefit contributions did not update for at least one of our benefit plans. We tried changing the 2016 rate by 1cent to trick the system in updating everyone but that only updated people newly enrolled.
Any ideas how I can update contribution rates if BN105 doesn't work?

I hope we get an answer to your question because we had that problem last July which is our open enrollment period when our health & dental rates change. We could not get BN105 to work & had turned it over to Infor for a solution that we really did not get (we were already on Infor10). Since our time frame was so tight, I ended up downloading the current benefits on each employee & re-loaded them using MS Addins with the options which then pulled in the new rates.
After I had come up with that work-around, Infor came back & told me to do that. Based on some of the comments I have been seeing, it does not look like Infor has solved this problem.
I would appreciate it much if there is someone out there that has the answer.
thanks

Thanks for the feedback Connie. So just to confirm. You downloaded the enrollments and then just uploaded them again? Onto BN532?? Did you download then end the plans for the old year then upload for the new year?

I had entered the new rates w/the new effective dates which BN105 did not update the employee's that had no changes to their options. I wrote an HR report to pull the employee's current benefits for health & dental & re-added them using MSAddins into BN32.3 even if they had not changed their options. Once I did this, the new rates pulled in.
I have not used BN532, but I know it is an upload program & you may be able to do the same thing. If you do not have MSAddins, I highly recommend it.

We had a similar issue when we were trying to mass end benefit plans. Our problem was that we needed to run some BN102 jobs to clean up and update records. Once I did that everything worked. I did have to run the BN102 several times, each time finding something else that needed to be fixed.

If the contribution is tied to pay rate or salary, the older plans could have overrides. If that is the case, you would have to stop the old plan for those employees and start new ones. You can do this via BN103 with the create CSV option, or run a BN531 with adds for them with a new date and no salary info added. That method would end the old plan, and start a new one with the new rates. The system should be setup to pull pay from BEN_SALARY or prorated salary.
