Local M3 Partner in Brazil?

Hello all,

Just a quick question please. Anyone here has an experience of implementing M3 in Brazil? And if yes, did you go with a local trusted partner?

As you may know, Brasilian market is quite complex due to always changing tax/fiscal, regulatory and legal constraints. Infor proposes a Country Specific Package that would only take M3 to a "certain" level of compliance. But things like NFe (Nota Fiscal Electronica), SPED (Sistema Público de Escrituração Digital)... are constantly changing, and you find yourself a bit alone to adapt M3 programs and MEC mappings to conform with new requirements.

So we are now looking for a specialized partner in Brazil who would be able to identify those requirements changes, analyse them and determine which are impacting our business (animal nutrition), and of course be able to translate those requirements into M3 solutions.

Hi Bruno,

M3 Brazil localization actually have most of what you should need for the NFe, SPED etc requirements.
I helped implement this the last time back in 2015/2016, but it was all very complicated then as well, and I believe M3 has had a chance to grow in this area since (at least I hope so), but the information is held in M3 for sure.
Infor has Partner(s) in Brazil, and they should be able to recommend how to proceed, but there are other alternatives as well (we did not go with a Partner, and it worked out fine as well).
There are multiple documents that you can download from Infor about this.

Hi Bruno,

I have also been involved in M3 implementation and maintenance in Brazil. We did not go with Infor either but involved handpicked consultants. You can always consult Infor in Brazil to see what partners they have but also scan the market in Portugal since there might be consultants there handling also the Brazilian market.

Our implementation was done 2011 or 2012 when NFe was implemented in our business. Since NFe and SPED was quite new the support for it in M3 was poor and there where a lot of bugs. Since then I think the quality has improved quite a lot and Infor has been quite quick on developing solutions for new requirements.

We developed an own solution to extract data for the SPED reporting using SQL queries. Now there is standard functionality to extract SPED files as I understand.

We kept the development of the MEC mappings and changes in SPED files internally in order to be able to comply with changes rapidly.

There are standard mappings for MEC to use for NFe and I think the latest versions are quite good.

I haven't worked with this for a while so I'm not sure about how this is handled in a MT environment.

Hi Bruno, Columbus Global (Infor M3 partner) has been working with a couple of Brazil customers supporting NFe and SPED changes. The most recent requirements are taking effect next month, on April 5th. The M3 impact of the new fields has varied based on customers' existing MEC mappings, EDI broker, end customer etc.

If we can provide some further insight or a gap analysis, we're happy to hear more about your company. We do have animal nutrition industry experience, mainly for aquaculture.

Participei na Implementacao do M3 no Brasil pela Nutreco (animal nutrition) : globalmente com mais de 180 divisoes.

Fizemos uma NFe totalmente nova e bastante melhor que a versao da Infor.

Tambem se alterou os Envos e Recepcoes de ficheiros para o banco incluindo tambem Boleto e Pre Boletos....

Alteramos tambem n ecran com scripts que incluem validacoes Boleto, CPF, CNJP etc etc
