We're building a file for an employment verification vendor and they are requesting both a most recent and an original termination date for those employees who may have been termed, but then were rehired (sometimes, more than once).
HR has advised me that they see the date(s) when drilling around on the EMP-TERM-DATE field from HR11, where they would identify the oldest date present in the employees termination date history.
Although it makes sense that this would be a data element that would be retained and accessible, I do not know what table this date would actually be stored in, nor if there is an easier way to determine "the oldest" of the dates there if multiple exist than to evaluate all dates present.
Another option suggested would be via an evaluation of the personnel action history for any/all records related to termination action types. However, I think that may be an even more complex and convoluted approach.
Is this anything that anyone else has done and may be willing to provide guidance on how/where to obtain?
Thank you in advance for any guidance you may be able to offer.
