SmartAuditOSLawson tool

Anyone tried to use this new license audit tool? It sucks. For one thing, it takes forever to get everything configured - so much information is required. So I get the production system configured, and though they said it was supposed to run 20 minutes, been running over an hour now. Anyone else had any success?

We, too, had problems with their audit tool. Not just functionally, but, data content. We have created a number of new security fields which contain personal information. Obviously, we did not want any of these sent. Infor (Lawson) was great in working with us to provide them the necessary information (license counts) via other means, such as employee counts and classifications.

We got request to run SmartAudit few month ago. It took sometimes to configure but it ran sucessfully in about 20 mintues without any problem. After the Audit result sent, Infor requested few dump files which as easy as used rngdbdump.

How did you do your configuration? We have three separate systems...and as I am re-reading the instructions it almost looks like they want you to create three configurations... and then start it. I did not do that - I only configured our Production system as I thought I was supposed to do each one separately (.i.e...run the audit 3 times).

That's what we did too. In fact. We only sent Production productline audit report.

Anyone else send data for multiple systems?

Well, I did a webex with Lawson, and the determined that the audit work files were corrupted. I deleted the entire folder and reconfigured the audit (what a pain) and this time it completed. We submitted data for PROD and our Dev system.

Anyone getting error message 30385 that states: failure to connect to Productline database? I'm using the exact same information as we used last year...which worked. I sent logs to my Infor Audit Contact but haven't got a response back.
