ACA - responsible official ACA filing certification required?

ACA - Does the "responsible official" need to certify an ACA filing? This is the first year we are doing this from Infor GHR and we have some entities where the xml files have been "accepted." When the responsible official logs in to the IRS eServices site, should they see an option to "certify" the submission? If not, is there certification required somewhere else?

Do you already have a TCC number? If not that will be the first thing that you must sign up for. |
Our Client that went through this process was already set up from the past to upload the file to the IRS website:

Hello MaryBeth,

we just uploaded our 1094-C files to the IRS today. This was our third year using GHR. Once they are accepted by the IRS and you received the IRS Receipt ID, you don't have to do anything further. You can enter the IRS receipt ID in GHR for the IRS Print File in the IRS submittals tab for tracking. We always keep a timestamped print screen of the IRS approval as well to prove the successful submittal. We have needed it once so far to prove we submitted it to them on time.
