Lawson version V10 on-site, we have several companies in GL, before all Finance employees had access to all

companies, Finance Director is asking to separate employees based on Companies, I added the Company Control

in their RM records in ISS and then created a Security Class with a rule for Company Element Group and a rule in the

Company Element and assigned to the users, that is working fine, users only see their companies, but, they lost the

access to ESS (HR company is not within the companies they are assigned)

Has anyone in the group experience this issue before? and if so how was the issue fixed?

Hi Alex, I believe the Company element group is a universal element group.  Meaning, if you apply a rule on it, it goes across all of your security, not just the classes that you specifically call it out on.  Which is why it is affecting your ESS security.  I believe if you only want the company security to be effective in specific classes such as your GL sec classes, you'll need to write a rule specifically for company on the screens in that class. I wrote rules using the Company Control assigned to users' RM records, but without using the Company element like this:

 form.COMPANY==user.getAttribute('CompanyControl') 

I think you could also use an element such as GL-COMPANY to do this in those classes too.  I hope someone else chimes in if I am wrong here in my thinking as it's been a long time since I built the Lawson Security setup for our organization.
