Setting up 403B Matching Contributions based on variable biweekly Gross Wages
unknown
We are taking on twenty four physicians in the fall, and have agreed match their 403B up to 6% of their variable biweekly Gross Wages. Our current plan calculates Employee/Company % contributions off their Base Salary.
I strongly suspect that this will need to be a custom calculation, however I hope I am overlooking something embarassingly in either the benefit or deduction setup.
Has anyone else had to tackle this sort of setup?

Ours matches gross wages. It is set up as a match limit schedule plan.

For yours to calculate off base salary, do you have a pay class attached to the deduction that only includes Regular pay codes?

Margie - Really wondering why your 403B match setup is calculating from gross wages, and ours is calculating from base wages when (1) we are both using Match Limit Schedule, and (2) we both seem to not have a Pay Class attached to the deduction. Can you send me a copy of your setups (BN15 and PR05)
Speculated that the "wildcard" might be that our Deduction setup has a Calculation Type= X - Custom Calculation, but my understanding from IS is that this was an old custom calculation which only utilized total prorated salary when there was not that option in Lawson. Probably could be removed at this point, in truth.

Sorry Margie! And thanks for your responses!
