Delivered Infor Process Automation Security Roles

Good afternoon everyone,

My name is Russel Cornelson I am a Principal Technical Support Analyst for Infor Process Automation. Hopefully many of you recognize me from working in support incidents/interactive briefings or here on the community. I am reaching out to the community today to see if there is a desire/need to have a more robust set of Security Roles for Infor Process Automation.

If you have had to modify security roles/classes that are delivered with IPA; or if you have added additional Roles to meet certain business/user needs. I am hoping you would be willing to share what changes or Roles you have added and a brief explanation of why. If there is interest I will take your feedback and make the pitch to our development team to improve upon the delivered roles/classes.

Re: Interactive Briefing - I would be interested in a Landmark Transaction deep dive. Selection strings. Using relations and sets. Variables. Things you can do besides query. How/when to use output_data vs. record by record. Pulling in related fields even if they aren't available to select.

For the Interactive Briefing - we are new to developing in the cloud and we are trying to convert all of our SQL interface files into IPA. We have almost 30k active employees so our files are large. I am getting a lot of memory errors. When I looked this up it said it was a warning but in the future the flows would fail due to excess use of memory. I would be interesting in seeing ways to avoid this. I'm currently creating files using File Access and writing each line (not message builder) so nothing should be held in memory. The input is a rep set picked up and dropped on the drive and I'm using the file iterator by line, so I'm unsure what's eating memory. Information before this becomes an issue would be helpful. I am not sure how relevant it is to the wider community but is there a way in PF to track the flows/action requests for employees related to an org unit.

We are having to create a report off the action request/ process flow business classes and then link them back to the employee using a filter so that we can only display the employee related process flows and action requests at an org unit level.

is there any security related configuration that can filter the action requests and related process flows only for a particular org unit.

I haven't the need for this, but off the top of my head, I'm thinking you could Configure PfiWorkunit with HROrganization, but you would have to value it with either a create Configuration Extension or through each flow with the appropriate HROrg, You would also need to create security that would secure PfiWorkunit based on the new Field you created
