TF11 SaaS API .dll

Hi there,

I am fighting my way through the BSI TF10 to TF11 upgrade. We are on Lawson v.10, Windows environment, and BSI SaaS solution.

I opened a ticket with Infor about which patches were required and they linked me to KB 2145347. One of the last steps in that KB is "copy the tf11api.dll from the server folder of the BSI download to c:windowssystem32.”

Does anyone know if this is required if you are a BSI SaaS customer?

If it is, can anyone direct me to where the BSI download with the "server folder" would be? I'm not sure how to obtain the .dll and I don't see this step mentioned in the BSI SaaS TF11 Readme document.

We are single tenant INFOR cloud and BSI SaaS. For the BSI upgrade from v10 to v11, all we had to do was make a back up of the BSI db (mappings) and restore the backup after the conversion was completed by the INFOR/BSI teams. We did not have any issues in test or production.

Actually - reading your message more carefully - we are Infor v.10 On Prem, so that's a main difference between your install and ours. I believe for Lawson v.10 on-prem, even if you are on BSI SaaS, a technology patch as well as application CTP are required in addition to some BSI SaaS db changes.

Anyone know whether there is a .dll step as well?

Based from my experience with other customer who are Lawson on Prem using BSI SaaS, TF11AIP.dll still needed. To download, you need to go to https://mybsiconnect.force.com/ > go to Product Maintenance > Choose Taxfactory > Select 11 for the product version > Click Cyclie Bullettins > Select Taxfactory 11.0d > Then from the Downloads you must select the one corresponding to your Server,OS bit OS OS Version, Database, Database Version and Chipset.

Hi @rommel-aquino - thank you. I've done that and the .exe is PW protected. Does anyone know where we would obtain the PW to open this?

You can find this info in the release bulletin on the Product maintenance.

It sent by BSI Customer Services <customer.services@bsi.com>. If you are receiving email from this email address, look for the #Cyclic Availability email that includes the installation password for this version.

This is also correct. Click on Bulletin Information and it will download the file TF11d_CS.html which has the password.

Thank you to you both @pratik-shah and @rommel-aquino . I was able to find the PW, run the .exe, and copy the API .dll over.

I'm afraid I have a larger question now, though:

Does anything else have to be done with the rest of the files in this download for SaaS TF11 to work?
I applied the Lawson technology patch, the Lawson application CTP, and was following instructions in a PDF provided by BSI called Saas_TF11_Readme to do this, but that doesn't mention the server download.

You only have to put the TF11API.DLL to WindowsSystem32 folder. Make sure all the environment variable for SaaS is set properly and reboot of the server was done after that.

In regard to the concern about where this would be documented.
We have updated the main KB from Infor that mentions the steps around the TF11API.dll to call out what is needed for those using BSI Saas.
