It was recently pointed out that a few metadata files were missing some embedded IOL fields. You will need to download the attached zip file, and extract the correct metadata files according to your system (Windows or Linux). Then use the Generate SMFLUP utility to update the affected metadata files. Detailed instructions below:

Windows
- Unzip the meta_fix.zip file into the root directory of FACTS. This puts the .NEW versions of the affected metadata files in place.
- Make sure SMU954 is not running.
- From the Modification Support menu, run Generate SMFLUP. This program will compare the .SSI and the .MOD versions and write the net changes to the SMFLUP file.
Compare Questions and Recommended Answers:
- Do you want the current metadata files to be copied to have .MOD extensions prior to generating SMFLUP? (Y/N) Y
- Do you want all .NEW files to be copied to have both no extension and a .SSI extension after SMFLUP has been generated? (Y/N) Y
- If you have entered Modification IDs in your metadata, you can enter the IDs you want SMFLUP to contain. Leave this blank to include all modifications.
- Do you want custom note categories to be included in SMFLUP? (Y/N) Y
- If modifications were found, run Merge SMFLUP. For the question: Automatically recreate the .MOD versions of the files? (Y/N), the recommended answer is N.
Linux
- Transfer the meta.taz file into the root directory of FACTS
- Sign in as root on the Linux machine, and navigate to the root directory of FACTS
- Set umask 0
- mv meta.taz meta.tar.Z
- gunzip meta.tar.Z - this puts the .NEW versions of the affected metadata files in place.
- Make sure SMU954 is not running.
- From the Modification Support menu, run Generate SMFLUP. This program will compare the .SSI and the .MOD versions and write the net changes to the SMFLUP file.
