Use FileAccess to create a CSV
Legacy Contributor
Hello, I'm a non-technical background IPA Admin/Designer (only one at my company), and I'm trying to design an IPA that outputs a CSV file. I know this can be done via the FileAccess node, but I'm not sure how the Input Data field translates into a csv format. Can someone provide an example, or have suggestions on how to phrase that field to produce a csv output?

Hi dslough,
The FileAccess node can create or append to a file, but the data must be created first and then passed into the node.
I can provide a very simple sample flow and sample output file if you want. Unfortunately, I can't get them to attach to this post. Send me a message with your email address and I'll forward them to you.
Good Luck!

Here are two versions of the flow and their resulting output files. One is comma-delim and one is tab-delim.

Output - comma delim:
Flow - tab delim:

You can also look at KB 1667935 - IPA Best Practices - Sample Flows & Scripts. They have some nice examples.
