Stock Import - Extended Descriptions

Hi Guys,

Basically the customer has 22000+ stock records and they are looking for me to extract all stock records and amend the Unit Weight and Net Weight to mirror each other.

In order for me to do this i would normally extract the cname table to csv using the command line in opera then open the file and copy net weight to unit weight, save again in csv and import choosing to overwrite existing records.

However, I noticed in my testing that all appears ok with the exception of any memos or extended descriptions they are blank after the import.

Is there any way these can be added back into opera in a batch? I know i can add them in manually but there are approx 969 extended descriptions so could take a while.

Any help would be appreciated.

The COPY TO ... TYPE CSV and APPEND FROM ... TYPE CSV commands in Visual FoxPro don't handle memo fields. Personally I would, using Visual FoxPro or the Opera command line just update the DBF:

update cname where !empty(cn_ntmass) set cn_unitw=cn_ntmass

I'm assuming that the 'cn_ntmass' field is the net weight. Note that prior to the current release of Opera you will lose a decimal point of precision there.
