Keep user credentials in Excel Integration

Hi,

in V11 there is the often used feature, to log into the repository automatically when starting Office-Plus. So input of user credentials is not necessary.

In the new V12 Excel-Integration I miss this feature and I have to enter my user name and password every time, I use the Excel-Add In.

Wouldn't it be very user friendly to add a check box "Remember me" so the next time the user name and password are already posted and by just pressing "Sign-In" I'm in?

Is it already on the road map or any reason that does not allow implementing this feature?

Or is this already possible and I just haven't found, how to do?

Hello Ralf,

yes, I agree this would be extremely useful feature.

Unfortunately this is limitation coming from Microsoft as of now, i.e. it is out of our control. I have raised this to Microsoft and afaik they have no time-line for this feature.

We are actively looking for other options how to enable this 'remember me' behavior but we need to be careful about security concerns and make it bullet proof. I am sorry to not have some 'better' news.

thank you for this information, so I think it is not necessary to open a new enhancement request.

Too bad, this is a Microsoft limitation.... For our customers however, it makes no difference, They will blame on "our Infor-tool" not providing this feature.

Let's hope Microsoft can help quickly or development can find a good workaround for it.

In our environment having Windows Authentication as alternative would be definitely the most appreciated solution for this problem.
