BS06
unknown
We are looking at having a benefit holiday as a work around to the 27 pays for 2015. I was wondering how others are handling the 27 pays. I am concerned about the spending accounts as well. Any ideas?

When this happened for us several years ago we opted to make a permanent change for all benefit deductions to just 24 times per year. We state "first" and "last check" of the month on our payroll schedule. Before that change, we had some deductions that were every check and some that were monthly. It was a good opportunity for us to make it consistent.

I set the BS06 for 26 pays. I then added 26 pays on the remaining pays field on the second line and when I calculated it came out correctly on ESS. If I didn't add the extra 26, ESS was calculating based on 25 pays rather than 26. I have had this problem before I know and had to work around it the same way. The remaining cycles list as: 26,26,24,23and so on down to one.
Where does Payroll change the cycles for deductions?

For our Benefits deductions (healt, flex, etc) we use the benfit cycle that only deducts from the first 2 pays of the month.
