We have set up numerous Purchase Price books in our system but they do not return the correct Price or Purchasing Unit when the Purchasing Unit differs from the unit entered in the Item Purchase data at the global item level.
Example: I have an item which is stocked in LB and the Item Purchase Data Price Unit and Purchase Qty Unit are set also as LB. However, I have a price book which contains this item and I want to purchase it from Vendor in a purchase price unit of KG and a purchase price qty of KG. When I transfer my planned purchase order to purchase orders no price comes through to the order and the purchase qty is in LB not KG.
It appears there is a basic flaw in Infor's Price Book functionality example: in Item Purchase by BP session there appears to be no field to enter a purchase unit of measure (The only place this data can be entered is at the Item Purchase data globally) Now if I change these values at the Item Purchase data globally then my Price Book works, however this means that I have no option to buy this item from multiple BP's in different units ( I may want to buy from one in LB and another in KG) the lack of functionality prevents me from being able to do this via Price books.
Furthermore I looked at our Sales Price Books which work perfectly well and the only difference I see is that for an item that we sell we have the facility to enter a selling unit and price unit at the Item Sales by BP session, functionality which is sadly absent on the Purchasing items.
I have created this ER in the hope that Infor will introduce this functionality.... Please vote so that this solution can be made available to the wider user community
