Setting up email invoices directly out of Global Financials

Is anyone using the email capabilities within Global Financials? More specifically, has anyone successfully configured Google Workspace SMTP relay to make it work? Infor support said it has only been tested/certified using Outlook. So, set up Outlook to work with my company email and tried again. Still, no luck. However, I receive an error now: "Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Invalid credentials for relay [XX.XXX.XX.XX]" The relay that is listed is our public IP address.

If anyone has any insight into this, I would appreciate the guidance. Thank you.

Unfortunately Visual does not really support emailing properly. We are using Spindle by a company called Draycir, having failed all attempts to use the Visual offering. Spindle acts like a virtual printer for emails and allows you to customise the emails which go out with invoices or statements etc. It allows you to send out a whole batch of statements or invoices all in one go as if you were printing them.

What you are encountering is a form of spam email protection, which is designed to protect from a situation where a spammer uses another company's SMTP email server to send out spam email messages to hide the true source of the the spam messages.

A Google search for that error message found the following web page - expand the Invalid credentials for relay section.:

We have Global Financials, but have an onsite Exchange server, and currently do not email from Global Financials.

We use a program called Logicity for sending out Invoices/Statements and use an internal SMTP server as it was easier than fighting with Office365.
