Emailing ION Error Messages

Good afternoon,

From time to time we get a ConfirmBOD saying that a message was Rejected for one reason or another. Since we don't spend much time in InforOS or ION we may overlook this as we are debugging an issue in the ERP. How would I go about sending this error in an email? I am sure there is something about this in one of the many millions of user guides...

Three considerations:

1) configure in ION service where there is a check box to send notifications to an email account/list

2) the Confirm BOD is internally converted to a sync.error BOD. you can put a monitor on the Sync.Error to invoke notifications and have filters, content round and other processing in a workflow.

3) you can perform and API call to retrieve the errors in in an interval and provide a summarized list or such to a distribution list.

Hi Kevin,

We are looking for similar option. Basically, we have one Custom BOD and expecting confirm BOD's for data issue. We are looking for option to send Task to specific users so they can fix data and resubmit Error BOD instead of sending it back from Source System. Do see any option with so we can trigger workflow for Error BOD's or option to resubmit error BOD instead of going into Error BOD page in ION?

Also, we are looking for API for Error BOD. Do we have any Standard API in ION which we can use to get list of Error BOD's?

You would use sync.Error to activate a workflow. In Oneview you can see these are 1 to 1, i.e. every confirm.BOD generates a Sync.Error

This would allow you to use BODType and other elements for routing and messaging.

Having the user action with ION Error BOD screen would need a shortcut to the ERROR BOD option.

You cannot disposition via an API

You can get a list of Error BOD using the Oneview API for the desired noun ERROR..

     IONSERVICES/oneviewapi/data?filter=document_type%20eq%20'Confirm.BOD*'&store=Message

or several other filters in the API.
