IDM API - Update an item to Archived

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to archive a document in IDM via an ION API call? That is, to update the status of a document already in IDM to "Archived" ?

There is a button for this on the UI:

/items/{pid} Update an Item appears to be able to update the attributes, resources, and ACL for an item, but no word about archival status.

Hi,

Not sure about an API call but retention policies can be scheduled in order to move Active documents to Archived. Unless you want to force it being archived the moment it was printed.

Normally scheduled as a nightly run.

We have some documents that need to be sent to a third party. It's a manual process now, and they flag the documents as archived after they are sent to the third party. This way, they know which documents have been sent already vs. the documents that still need to be sent.

I'm automating this process. I'd still like a way to know if the document was sent via automation, in case of any issues. The document type is defined and used by Local.ly, so I don't want to modify any attributes.
