LPL - send an email based on a condition

I would like to send an automatic email based a condition like below (see highlighted) in Config Console

visible when (ExConditionalLogic)
ExcludeTxt
label is untranslatable:"If yes, please explain details:"
"mailto:emailaddress"
"mailBody:this is a test"

Will appreciate any guidance or reference links on how to.

Can't you do it in a exit rule on the action? Something like the below

if (ExConditionalLogic)

send email
to "EmailAddress"
from "LawsonAdmin"
subject "ValidateEmailAddressRequired"

in quotes replace with your own data.

it's complaining about send email (expected key field)

it should not be emailto etc only to, from , subject.

Also I am not sure you can do it within the form. It needs to be as part of user exit in my belief,

Looking at Patrick's screen shot, he's putting the "send email" stanza inside the LPL of a form (a UI component). It should instead go in the LPL for either an action (a Business Logic component).

Your UI could have a button or link to trigger the action, potentially, but the UI wouldn't be where the email would be defined or sent from.

We've accomplished this on the exit rule of the action but not on the form (example below). To Michael's point you could use a button or link to trigger the action and send the email, but from Patrick's screenshot it looks like you are just trying to pick up information submitted on the form and send vs having the user take action to send the email, so you should be able to accomplish on exit of form submission.
