Is RQ511 a custom interface? Would RQ500 accomplish the same thing? We are moving away from Omnicells to Pyxis cabinets and rather not pay for a custom interface.
We have Pyxis Supply Stations that generate files in the RQ500 layout for us based on the schedules set in Pyxis and those files are then FTP'd to our LSF system and we then use RQ500 to generate the requisitions in Lawson. We are currently on Linux/Oracle and V10 of Apps
Is your req creating a PO to the vendor or a IC21 record. We have seperate job for PO direct to vendor. Currently RQ511 creates the IC21 record for the items we still pick from the storeroom.
IC21.
RQ500 creates our requisitions. Reqs for stock items just go through WH130 to generate shipments. We then have recurring jobs that run PO100, PO120 and the ED501 - which will generate POs for the non-stock items and send them out via EDI
Pyxis can send either an RQ500 or an IC500. We've had ours send both.
RQ500: Reqs are made against your inventory - you'd only get a replenishment to the vendor if they are trying to request something non-stock. Everything else would print out on a pick ticket. You can automate all or some with RQ500, WH130, WH132, WH190.
IC500: Issues are sent to your IC21 and need to be released. This sounds like what you're used to?
RQ511 creates the file in RQ500 format and then RQ500 creates the reqs. If Pyxis will send you the file in RQ500 format, it will just essentially save you from running RQ511. You will take Pyxis RQ500 formatted file and run RQ500 to create the reqs. We have many vendors that send us the file in RQ500 format, and Omnicell is our only one that uses RQ511. Because omnicell prefers RQ511 format (and it is much easier to read), you have to convert it to RQ500 to create the reqs.
yes. IC500 sounds like what I need. Do you use IC500 with Pyxis or Omnicell? Can you share the file format?
If we only use RQ500 will RQ500 create an IC21 issue for items that come from the our storeroom?
We have not used IC500 in quite some time - sorry - I do know that it worked though.
Pyxis should be able to find the map as Memorial Hospital West in South Florida.
