Hi all,
I need to have an API to add new procurement groups in CRS037. CRS037MI does not exists in M3CE.
Does anyone had the chance to develop such API using XtendM3 ? or some similar that I can use as an example ?
Many thanks for your help !
well... that was not so tricky..!
I did it by myself ! if needed, the source code is attached here !
Fell free to give me your comments on the coding way ! Thanks.
Have fun !
David.

Hi David,
We were instructed by Infor that we as a user of M3 aren't able to use XtendM3 we'd have to contact a verified partner or Infor directly to get something complete.
Were you able to publish the XtendM3 code to production?
That sounds odd since Infor is promoting this as 'the last resort' if nothing else can be done. Having said that, in a multi-tenant environment, managed by Infor, I would expect them to want to verify the API/ExtendM3 script, all along the lines of making sure you don't bring the tenant down...suggest you reach out to your Info account executive for advice.//Peter
Hi David
Maybe using Business Engine Interactive Program Services would do the trick. I've used that several times for minor tasks as the one you mention.Catharine
Funny thing, is was our Account exec who mentioned this
Hi John,
Yes, I do confirm that we are a verified Infor partner and thus we are able to develop XtendM3 for customers. But before being able to promote them to production tenant, we should anyway ask Infor to verify and sign them.
Let me know if you want us to discuss this directly.
Hi Catarine,
Thanks for your feedback but unfortunately my external program needs to work with REST APIs and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that IPS are SOAP APIs, aren't they ?
By the way, if you have already worked with IPS before, I would be very interested in knowing by which way you ware calling them ? Did you use, for instance, an Excel file ?
Many thanks !
I agree with Peter,
It has been promoted a long time that we, as Customers, should be able to use XtendM3 in our Test Environment.
Once it need to be promoted to the Production Environment, Infor would have to 'certify the code', which involves a consulting fee (since this is a MT Cloud environment, the code have to be 'checked/certified').As long as we're OK with this approach, I do not understand why we would NOT have access to the Tool?!
There are a lot of us that are in the process of starting our Migration to 'MT Cloud' from 'On Prem' and XTendM3 is the only Tool that will guarantee that we can bring functionality with is crucial to our Business processes (some of this functionality are there due to 3rd party applications, so we can't just 'remove/replace it').
Hopefully there will be a consistent message by Infor coming out that will allow Customers to use the Tool (if User first need to first be certified for XTendM3, like we had to for MAK, so be it) since this is extremely important to some of us to feel comfortable with going to 'MT Cloud'!
Only Infor or partners should use ExtendM3.
A partner should always generate certified code (java Groovy).
