Don't you think the Delete option in M3 should be revamped!

I sometimes wonder why Infor has not revamped the Delete option (Ctrl+4) in M3 yet!

This statement sounds unusual. But, it's the fact that this option is very much outdated in the new age of technology.

How! Consider you have 10 lines in the browse panel of a program to delete. What will you do? Either delete individual lines one after the others or select all lines to be deleted then press delete option (Ctrl+4) and again press Enter key multiple times until all the lines get deleted. What does the system do? M3 traverse through D panel again and again to execute delete activity. Don't you think it's hectic enough. It is acceptable in 80s or mid 90s, but now in the age of Industry 4.0 revolution this is definitely not ignorable. What is the necessity of forcing an user to press Enter key multiple times and why should traverse through D panel! Yes, M3 architecture works in such a way, M3 has dedicated panels for each of the operations. It's genuinely good but what is the fun of showing on front-end. M3 is not a dull system it possesses numerous complex logics, so I believe this is a simplest thing that Infor should pay attention.

I would love to know what other M3 users, pro users and product owners think about this point.

similar with the copy function in RGS600 (and i am assuming in most areas of M3), to copy a group (like 163) lines, you have to highlight and then copy each line to a new line one by one.

Great idea, as long as the validations for each line is still made and can be confirmed somehow manually. (We don't want to delete the wrong thing by mistake )

You can put rhe confirm delete on panel B and avoid Panel D...

In this case is possible delete many lines...

No you can't, because there might be one or more reasons for each row!
You would not know until check has been made.
There would have to a be a 'single pop-up' for ALL where we could either confirm or reject the Deletions in that case, but this is a design issue that Infor would have to look into.

What I believe Infor should provide a mass deletion option on browse panel in-addition to the existing delete option. Then it will be upto user which option he/she wishes to use based on the scenario.

that depends on specif panel not the delete itself.

Is possible run the D panel, without leaving rhe panel B, for each row - In this case the user don't see panel D information.

That should be tested very well beacause of side effects - eg capture of screen messages.

Of course, this kind of scripts should be avoided
