ACA patch is out - anyone load it yet?
vita-lombardo
Looking for feedback from anyone who has installed the ACA patch. It just came out yesterday but I know we've all been waiting for it. Any issues? Thanks for any info.

I actually have an open incident regarding the patch because there is absolutely no information in the Read Me about anything. Have been waiting for almost 2 hours for someone to call me back. If anyone can tell me with the heck the patch includes, I would be most appreciative.

How did you find this patch? I do not see anything on the Xtreme Support site about it.
marty
I just spoke with Support, and this is the big patch we all need. Unfortunately, the documentation about it is not yet ready, hopefully later today or next week. Support told me that in beta the patch and dbreorg take awhile, so it might be worth loading into our test or dev environments over the weekend while we wait for the documentation to come out.

Patti it's the second announcement on the Xtreme home page. KB 1651413
vita-lombardo
Thanks. I only found out about it from our IT people. Nothing on Xtreme about it yet so Jenn your post explains why.

KB 1651413 shows "Affected Release 9.0.0.0". Does anyone know whether this applies to 9.0.1? The only other KB for this JT-780276 is 10.0.0.0.

I still can't find it....even when i go to the Xtreme home page...
unknown
I was told this morning that the patch for 9.0.1 was not available yet. I have not received an ETA yet.

Who confirmed that KB 1651413 is not valid for 9.0.1, Xtreme?

I am concerned that we have to work this hard to find out information about this patch, than we do to actually install it and make it work?
Can we get some resolution?

The Infor Installation Alert Notification will be posted this afternoon regarding ACA. The CTPs for the 9.0.0 and 10.0 release have already finished processing and are available on Xtreme. The CTP for the 9.0.1 release is still going through testing. Upon completion it will post on Xtreme as well. That should happen today or sometime this weekend. The documenation for ACA is currently being uploaded to Xtreme and will become availalbe this afternoon.

The 9.0.1 CTP is available on Xtreme. The Installation Alert and KB articles are posted. To start, reference KB 1650062 Master KB article HRM Benefits update Affordable Care Act.

I was reading through the documentation provided in the KB article, and wondered if anyone else saw these items and have answers:
- PR197 for pay period hours updates is coming in a later CTP? Has anyone heard a date on this?
- EMSS 10.0.6 is required for this to work?
plancor
In case anyone is interested, the Help text is available in a separate patch. For 9.0.1 see KB 1652507.
unknown
The PR197 updates come with the year end patches, which usually happen in early December.

Hopefully it comes sooner as the change I'm expecting is to push ACA hours each payroll to the benefit module for data gathering.

Correction to PR197 - the update to PR197 is no longer to be released in a later CTP. It was included in the changes for JT-780276. I have updated the documents to reflect that.
Regarding the changes to EMSS benefit enrollment. The current patch for EMSS does require 10.0.6 (patch10). This is consistent with the Life Cycle Maintenance policy that explains the EMSS application only maintains one current release. However, as an exception a patch will be available for one release back (10.0.5) within a week. This will be JT-780277 10.0.5 patch30.

Thanks Diane.
With the EMSS changes, what is being upated there? (i.e. what would be missing if I don't update?) I would think most of the changes would be reflected in the application forms like BS31 and BS531.
edwin-valle
I too would like to know what is in the EMSS changes. I would like to defer that part of the update if possible.
unknown
We can create another KB article to provide details for the EMSS solution. The Master KB article will be updated with a link. KB: 1650062.

Thank you

The Power Point shows BN29.1 indicating which Life Event triggered an Offer. We do Annual Enrollment through EMSS, but not Life Events. Does that mean that we will be somehow limited in the use of the ACA function until we implement Life Events through EMSS?
sriman-shivakoti
No. If we add someone on our BN3X screen, they show up.
cflores
I would also like to understand what is being updated in EMSS. We begin open enrollment at the beginning of November and it is already getting late for us to begin an EMSS upgrade.
unknown
I would like to know what is being updated in EMSS also, And, what Power Point are you referring to?
plancor
KB 1652881 = Power Point
jreese
What is the latest this need to be in production?
sriman-shivakoti
It depends on how confident you are with the solution and/or your data.
1095s have to be issued by jan 31, 2016 for 2015.
I think everyone should write their legislators and ask for a delay in reporting for a year since the govt was so late with final regs.
Robert Canham
Any news on the EMSS changes? We're testing out our benefit enrollment now, so we need to update ASAP (or not update).
plancor
An EMSS informational KB has been added to the main ACA KB.
New article added: "How does ACA impact EMSS and benefit enrolments?" KB 1653748
