Loading external / third party jar files for Process Automation allowed in Multi Tenant?

Does anyone know if loading if external / third party jars is allowed for Process Automation in Multi Tenant environments?

For example in order to create Excel documents in script activities the Apache POI Java API for Microsoft Documents can be loaded in IP Designer by specifying "externalJars.list" property in the bpm.properties file.

Is modifying the bpm.properties file and transferring jar files to the Landmark / Process Automation server allowed in Multi Tenant?

FYI, I confirmed loading of external jars is not allowed in MT.

Native java classes are allowed, but have to be requested and approved before they are whitelisted.
