setting up security for multiple companies with different access in each

We have 2 companies, CompanyA and CompanyB. I have a user that is CompanyB company control on her security set to CompanyB. However, I have been told recently that this user needs to be able to access AP forms for CompanyA now. Can you give me a brief explanation on where to start setting this up? Is it some kind of rule on each security class that the AP users have access to?

If the user's CompanyControl attribute has a value of CompanyB assigned, and you also want the user to access CompanyA, can't you just assign CompanyA to the CompanyControl attribute?

I don't think so. the user should only have access to any of the AP forms in CompanyA

I'm not clear on what you are asking for.

user needs access to multiple modules in Company B, but only needs access to AP in CompanyA. If I set company control to CompanyB, user won't have access to anything in CompanyA.

In this case, as you stated, you would need to write rules in the various security classes to accomplish this.

Example:

SecurityClass "APFormsAccessBasedOnCompanyControl": Rule would allow access to AP form based on user's CompanyControl attribute
SecurityClass "APFormsAccessAdditional" Rule would allow access to AP for Company A
SecurityClass "GLFormsAccess": Rule would allow access to GL form based on user's CompanyControl attribute
