Stocking multiple revisions

I see there was an enhancement request 362779 "Revision Numbering on Stock Items". Ref. KB ID 1168827.

Does anyone know if this has been implemented yet and in what Version? We periodically need to store parts at different revisions and are very close to upgrading to version 7 from 6.5.4.
