Very Good question.
It's possible because internally each column is inside a div container wich can be a reference to JQuery.
The problem is that Yoiu must control many events that can affect grid aspect.
If You indicate a specif panel and column I can help You...
If you just want to do this for specific Users (or for everyone), you can handle it with a 'personalization' as well, and then add it to 'Global' or specific Role(s).
