Calling an IDO Method from a Stored Procedure - External Credit Card Processor

Good Morning,

We are working on an integration to an External Credit Card Processor.

The Infor Documentation states to create the Stored Procedure EXTSSSCCIProcessCardExternalSp to handle the external gateway processing.

My thought is that we would need to build a custom assembly to handle the External API calls.

I was thinking about having the SP submit a Background Task to call the Assembly Method.

Anyone have any thoughts or guidance if they have done this before?

Is your question on how to submit a bg task from SP or how to call an IDO method in bg task?

Direct call I think it's not possible...

if you look at the bgtaskdefinitions form there are examples of calling ido method.

Thanks for responding. I sent this question to early in the morning. What I was looking to see was if anyone had any other thoughts on how to call an assembly besides going the Background Task Call process.

...haven't done such changes...theoretically (however not something I would try)...the form where this is called is Credit Card Payments (assume the Portal and mobile are not relevant in your case)...you could create your IDO assembly method and use it in this form instead of standard....there is one potential issue, since the SQL code is encrypted , it is not clear whether your custom call will miss functionality...guess you can only test and see whether ALL stays consistent....
