Installation of ERP LN on server having Baan IV C4 installed

Hi All,

I need to know if the installation of ERP LN can be done on the server where BaaN IV C4 has been already installed.

Would there be any issues? What type? Links to solutions.

Hi Fiona,

Yes, technically speaking. Check the technical notes of the portingset so see if OS/RDMBS are still supported. Please be aware that LN needs a lot more resources!

Also keep in mind that due to some specifications regarding the databases (i.e. SQL and Oracle) it is not possible have both databases running on the same enviroment.

However we have LN FP2 and Baan IV C4 on the same server (using the same version of the database) and it runs perfectly.

Thanks for your response.

The client has BaaN IV installed currently. We are planning to install ERP LN 6.1 FP5 on a Unix server. Would there be any issues?

Hi Fiona,

As long as you have the same database for both enviroments and enough resources to have both instalations at the same time, there shouldn't be any issues.

We have BaanIV and two ERP LN instances and we have no issues.
