Custom hyperlinks or drill down functionality

Hello everyone,

I am looking to enhance SO Document Inquiry when the line item it tied to a Purchase Order. I would like to provide a hyperlink (perhaps the PO number itself) that when clicked on, would take the user to PO Inquiry.

This functionality could also simply mimic drill-down functionality from a list view.

Has anyone done this before or can assist with the meta data pieces/parts to get this done?
