Application Event - GenericSendEmail

I am using the Application Event, GenericSendEmail, to send an email when a condition is met. This works, but I need to send some information from the form that generates this event in the email. For example, I need to include the item number. Is it possible to add this as a parameter? Can anyone give direction on how to do this?

Thanks Stephen. I figured this out. In the body parameter, I just used V(variablename) anywhere that I wanted the variable value to show. I was trying to make it more difficult.

Possibly. I'm on CSI 9 and I can do it, but I can't speak to your version (I think its 8). Regardless, this is what I do:

1. Create an Event Global Constant that contains the body of the email/subject/etc, using String.Format entries for the custom data.

2. In your event, use the SUBSTITUTE command on your Global Constant.

For each String.Format entry you have, make sure that you have the same number of parameters.

That should do it. Do you need help on how to locate the values to put into the email or are you OK there?
