Error - Could not get instance from API pool, Mapper deployement issue.

When i am trying to deploy a map on MeC server I get below error message.

Server responds: MappingError

Server responds: Could not get instance from API pool:Error when logging on to M3: Program: MRS001MIHost: xxxxx.xxxxxxx.org Port: 12345 User: TEST03.

Setting is available under Partner Agreement >> Communication >> M3API. (Test Connection is OK)

Inside mapper for M3API also it has proper connection. i can fetch all the M3 APIs inside Mapper.

User ID and Port Number in the Error Message are completely different from the PAT/Mapper M3 API settings.

Can anyone please help and let me know where this User ID and Port number is stored so that it can be corrected per M3API setting in PAT and Mapper

Hi

I remember that usually for API connection it uses 16205 as per infor standard configuration. You can find the port details in the M3 Grid

Go to your M3BE -> select API subsystem -> choose Advanced -> select properties there you can find the port that is used by API subsystem. You Can refer to the below image.

You can Test the connection on Mapper without deploy any mapping..

Try with PAT user.

Hi Sudhakaran, thanks for the response. I did Test Connections manually in Mapper and PAT and they all are working fine.

Port number and Host Name combination is correct and working fine.

Even I can use M3 API in Mapper and it does retrieve all the APIs without any issue.

Problem is occurring when I try to generate the map it throws above error,

"Could not get instance from API pool:Error when logging on to M3: Program: MRS001MIHost: xxxxx.xxxxxxx.org Port: 16605 User: TEST03".

All the Test connections inside Mapper and PAT were successful.

Not sure while deploying from where the User ID and Port numbers were picked.

Hi All,

Managed to resolve the issue on Infor ION Grid

Configuration Manager >> Applications >> Application [MeC Server Name] >> Application Property >> Property

Property Name = APIMapper.mi.name

The Name should match with PAT API name (Manage >> Communication >> M3 API)

After this one need to Restart MapGen this will load the APIMapper.mi.name matching with PAT (M3 API).

Once this is done try to clear Cache on MeC Management Pages under Utilities.

Found ok and tried to publish the map, it worked
