Pflow_user.js in MT Cloud

We're working on our conversion from v10 to the MT CloudSuite and I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a good way to replicate the behavior of having a pflow_user.js file for on prem IPA. We have several functions that we built in there that I will want in my new flows. I initially tried putting them in an assign node, but that gets wiped out after a wait with suspend or a user action.

For MT we cannot accept individual customers pflow.js files; however we are working on ensuring that we persist all variables including those in javascript context. When that change comes through you would only need to add it in an assign node and a stop at a UA/Wait node will no longer lose the content.

Until then; create a subprocess process definition that has an assign node in it that contains your custom function. Add a subprocess node to call it at the start of your workunit. By using a subprocess if you have multiple flows that leverage it; you only have 1 place to maintain/change the code instead of having to modify a bunch of flows.

I believe if after you build the function in the assign node you then assign the variable to itself or to another variable name in the not JavaScript section of the assign node it will not get wiped out.

Yeah, unfortunately, I need to use the function again to recalc something after a user action. I'm leaning to having to add the functions to an assign node after the user actions, but wanted to see if any other ideas out there.

Thanks Russel. Does the subprocess get reloaded when the process resumes? Or would it have to be called after user actions if the functions need to be used again?

For now you would need to put a subprocess node after the wait/user action; but we are working towards saving the entire javascript context so in the future you hopefully won't have to do that.

I can check in with our development team at our next meeting, but I think this is still moving forward as a part of a bigger piece as we work towards being able to stop and resume a flow.
