I am very new to pivot tables and ad hoc reporting. I think I understand the sorting function but what is VG and A?
Thankk for your question, Helena!If you mouse over the "VG" and "A" column headers, a brief explanation of what each one does will appearSelecting the VG checkbox will Visually Group information by that field. For example, selecting VG next to the Department field will group all users by Department.Selecting A will perform an arithmetic operation. If you have First Name and Last Name fields on your your report, selecting A next to the Last Name field will join and display the First and Last Name fields into one column with a space in between both fields.Patrick held a great Ask the Expert session on Ad Hoc Reports a short time ago and posted links to great documentation.. He also covered Pivot Tables in the recording. Please check it out, if you can.
