add API for sales person assignment

We need to be able to update sales person assignment on customer order lines based on a set of rules that can’t be maintained within M3.
Sales person assignment is key for bonus calculation etc. Our plan is to use OIS100MI/ChgLineBatchEnt but we identified that Salesperson (SMCD) isn’t included in that transaction

This would be ER # 78140 and I am sure that this is something that others in the community are looking to get resolved as well, it would be good if we could get endorsed to Infor will work on this.

Afraid not, we have no work arounds available, having the API has been defined as the only viable option to move forward.

Maxime that would be in the cloud edition, I am sure that we would be able to come up with a work around in the on premise edition.

Hence me also asking for endorsements to the above mentioned ER # 78140

How would you call your API that you should update SMCD field ? ION API ? IEC mapping ?

Maxime, this is actually an adjustment to an already existing API: add the field SMCD, sales person, to transaction OIS100MI/ChgLineBatchEnt

Hi Maurice,

if you are using an ION API from any application or a dataflow, workflow for your process, you can create a IPS to change salesperson, I believe that is why maxime asked you how in what way you are calling the MI.

I understand. I have already met this kind of requirement on SMCD field.

That being said, if you are under time pressure and aware that Infor will not always accept ER, you can create an Xtend API to update a standard table. As there is currently no standard API to do the job, Infor cannot refuse this kind of customized API. They will ask you to put in place the standard controls in your API as in interactiv program.

You can also try an IPS API.

Won't the IPS API run into the fact that there is no A-panel in OIS101? Or have you been able to work around that?

Check if the below flow works
1) OIS100 panel enter order number choose Related option "15"

2) Enter line number in browse panel to filter line and press enter key

3) press option "2" (change) with panel sequence F to update salesperson

4) Finally F3 from the OIS101 and OIS100
