Order same lawson item number from different Vendors based upon requesting locations

Is there a way to order a Lawson item from different vendors based upon the requesting location? For example we would like to order Lawson item 12345 from Vendor A when it is being ordered for an acute location like our hospital and from vendor B when it is for a non acute location like home health.

Will built are req locations as IC12 records with the associated items for our stockless program. I would think you could do the same and define the different vendor in !IC12.2

Thanks Rich. We would like seamless way so that when our home health staff orders item 123456 it routes to vendor B and when our hospital staff orders the same item it goes to vendor A. Right now we are thinking we set up templates for home health that point item 123456 to vendor b and a different template for use at the hospital that points to vendor A. But we also order from Par forms so templates won't work there.

The Par form, IC81/IC82 has the vendor for the specific Pars. Each par can be directed to it's own vendor or into inventory.

Another option to par specific vendors which is less maintenance and allows switching/changing vendors easier is using the po25 vendor agreement and it agreement participation logic. You can add only the location you want to each vendor agreement. it can handle entire company, requesting locations, inventory locations, and accounting units. pair that with contract pricing logic to always order from the lowest cost based on contract priority, the Lawson RQ & PO system will seamlessly switch vendors for an item as vendor pricing changes.

This assumes all contracts are at the same UOM. PO25 in V10 does not account for different UOM on contracts. It will always pick the lowest COST without factoring for quantity per unit. ( 1 EA will always be cheaper the a box of 10).

Lowest cost works for templates with no IC12s. How do you get pars to allow for no Vendor so you can switch vendors based on lowest cost? It's required in V10.

If you have more than one UOM, you can use the UOMs Must Match selection on PO25 and setup the contract with both UOMs.

Is home health or any of the non acute RQ01s on their own From Location/IC02? Because I have a specialty hospital that uses a different vendor/pricing than the others and what I did was:

PO25 for Vendor A seen by specialty. Participants only the specialty area, priority 1 (on Header Type Specific Tab).

PO25 for Vendor B seen by all - no filter on participants - priority 2 on header type specific.

In RQC, if I order from a req loc in the specialty hospital - Lawson # 12345 defaults to Vendor A. Everyone else defaults to Vendor B.

In theory, the specialty locations can go in and "see" vendor B - but they just don't.

Kat non acute rq01 are on their own from location. In RQC when you do shopping and search I see the item twice - once for each vendor.

When you say in RQC, if I order from a req loc ... Lawson # 12345 defaults to vendor A, are you getting the item from Express Order? When I use express order I just see one item when I put in the item number and click find. Then when I add the item it selects the correct vendor based upon the PO25 priority (on Header Specific Tab).
