Contract Management - Electronic Signature
unknown
We are implementing Contract Management in early 2015. Has anyone partnered with a 3rd party vendor for Electronic Signatures?

Michele,
Some clients may choose to work with DocuSign which has done some work with Infor Contract Management.
DocuSign uses cloud-based technology to store documents with unlimited storage time for archived contracts. A forensic accusign method is used for each person signing a document which allows an audit trail for litigation sourcing.
DocuSign software is used to control the movement of documents for signing to and from the cloud-based technology, but a manual method of moving contracts to and from DocuSign is also available.
Another alternative which MAY be useful in some organizations is built in to Adobe Reader XI, which you may already own..
Inside the Adobe Reader XI Edit tab there is a Preferences option that includes a Security category to configure server settings to store electronic signature certificates. These security server setting options are: TimeStamp server and Directory server. Security settings can be imported or exported to these servers.
There is also an Enhanced Security category available for internet transfer of documents for electronic signatures. Within the Preferences tab there is a Signatures category with the following functionality:
Digital Signatures section where signatures can be created and signature appearances can be modified.
Verification section where signatures can be controlled how and when signatures are verified.
Identities and Trusted Certificates section where signature identities are created and managed for signing.
Document Timestamping section where timestamp server settings can be configured for document control.
You will definitely need to involve your Audit and Compliance teams in investigating what defines acceptable security for electronic signatures in your organization. It may be that you get what you pay for. There are choices out there at least.

I work for a local government and we implemented Contract Management this year. We are using DocuSign for electronic signatures and our Legal department is very happy with it.
