Lawson has beneficiary screens for disability, defined contribution and life insurance.
Our disability plans (short term and long term) do not require or need a beneficiary. benefits are only paid to the employee in the event the employee is disabled. therefore there is no need to identify a beneficiary on a disability plan.
Our defined contribution plans are for payroll contribution purposes, and the employees identify their beneficiary with the 403(b) vendor. There is no need to identify a beneficiary on the 403 (b) plan.
we would like for ONLY the employee life insurance plans to permit a beneficiary. How can we "hide" or "remove" the beneficiary screens for the plans that do not require or need a beneficiary?
Is there a way to "require" a beneficiary? We recently have had employees pass away without a beneficiary listed at all.
My primary concern is removing the option or need to identify a beneficiary on plans that do not pay any benefit to the beneficiary (disability) or the beneficiary is kept with the retirement vendor (403(b)).
Any suggestions?
